Clean Teriyaki Sauce

Here’s another winning recipe from the lovely Carol Valenzuela, straight from her own Mom’s cookbook! I made this last night and boy! it was such a hit! Unlike  restaurant or pre- madeTeriyaki this recipe is 100% clean and will leave you feeling great. It actually is the best I’ve ever tasted ( I may or may not have considered licking the spilled sauce from the table…). Thank you Carol for sharing this family treasure!

this pictures for this recipe turned out to be especially pretty. Let’s take a look:

Below: The original recipe, written down at the start of Carol’s marriage!

Below: Oh, I just love ginger.

The ‘clean’ ingredients. For those of you who don’t do the soy in Gluten-Free Soy Sauce, Coconut Amino’s are a great sub.

Below: thank you to Bailey for being a great honey-pourer and hand model!

Below: so pretty….

You can store this for up to a week in the fridge. The flavor will intensify as each day goes on tho! watch out!

Below: This is an amazing marinade for Flank Steak, Chicken, or Fish. I used it on thinly sliced Chicken Breast and Thighs last night a cooked them under the broiler for about 10 mins.

Ingredients

3/4 cup Olive Oil or Avocado Oil

1/4 cup Gluten Free Soy Sauce or Coconut Amino's

1/4 cup Honey

1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar

2 Tbsp chopped Green Onions

1 large clove of chopped Garlic

1 Tbsp finely minced fresh Ginger

Instructions

Pour together all the ingredients, whisk and then store in an airtight jar... or marinate your meat and grill away!
