Egg-in-a-Nest

This breakfast is always a hit in our family! I love to use the Against all Grain Sandwich Bread for this recipe, but our family also loves the Dave’s Killer Bread because it’s organic and GMO free.

I blogged this several years back … so here’s a fun peek back in time!

“My Sister Katherine just got back to South Africa… with her fiance Jake Mason! We are so excited for their wedding on September 23, 2012. Jake has been running with our family for the past 4 years, and we were all very excited to have him with us for one night before he moved into the home he and Kath will share. Welcome home Uncle Jake!

In the morning I made ‘Egg in a Nest’ for Carter and Jake made orange-grapefruit juice. Enjoy.

Ingredients

1 slice Bread ( I love Canyan Bakehouse for Gluten-free, Dave's Killer bread for a GMO free wheat version, or the Against all Grain Grain-Free Bread)

1 Egg

Butter

Sea Salt

Pepper

Instructions

Use a cup or cookie cutter to cut a whole in the bread.

On medium heat, melt a teaspoon of butter in a pan, place the break on top, and crack your egg in the hole!

Put a little extra knob of butter in the hole with the egg… it’s good for kids

!Add salt and pepper at this point.

Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.
